The Biomass R&D Resource Library is a tool for collecting and hosting information on biomass feedstocks.  The Library includes a collection of physical herbaceous and woody biomass samples that can be utilized for research, along with data about the origin of the samples, and resulting characteristics and results of experiments on these samples. All analyses performed on these samples, including moisture content, compositional analysis, ash content, or fuel characteristics, are included in an extensive web-accessible feedstock properties database. Both the physical samples and the data are publicly accessible. Several data analysis tools are also available on the website.

Other data included in the Library:
- Geographical location
- Genetic Variety
- Species
- Production year
- Agronomic practices
- Yield data
